Smile When You Get Sucker-Punched!

I plead guilty for not smiling too much.

Not that superficial kind of smile when people say, “you should smile more often”. But more like I have this frown when I am working, as told by Molly.

Well, I say that’s my work smile! :D

I don’t even know what it is, I usually am so engrossed in my work that I hardly realize my body language shows differently; or perhaps a true story, I don’t know. But I love what I do, so I don’t care.

But what I do know is that I have a big smile on my face when I get sucker-punched by life — It may seem a bit odd, but I kind of enjoy the defeat.

Wow! Sahas, what do you mean? You enjoy defeat?!

Yes, sort of. Although it’s not intentional about getting defeated, that’s just life’s way of teaching you a lesson.

And I enjoy it because if I have seen the worse, and I am still standing, there is nothing else for me to lose. The worst had already happened and I’m still alive, breathing, living…. And that’s enough for me to smile right back at my defeat and say thank you for this experience.

At that moment, I can’t wait to climb out of the well without tying myself to a rope for safety, because there is none.

I’m no batman but I have learned one thing in my life.

The harder the lesson you’re taught, the wiser you may become in life. Well, of course, it’s a choice in the end.
